The high
density Type D connectors are designed to meet the precision
and demanding requirement of Aerospace, Military, Instrumentation, Linear
Accelerator, Medical, research, Development and Electronics markets as
well as Cryogenic applications.
The Type D Series connectors incorporate the
totally new glass-ceramic processing technique, which provides wider
temperature, higher mechanical strength and increased ultra-high vacuum (UHV)
capabilities as compared to any other product on the market. The low profile,
high pin density format provides the basis for complex weld assemblies to be
manufactured.
The type D series connectors are available in different
densities, from 9 to 50 pin configurations, and can be combined with plugs in
either PEEK (polyetheretherketone) or high alumina ceramic materials depending
on temperature, price considerations and environmental requirements. The
multi-pin headers are rated for liquid nitrogen, have a bakeout temperature of
350oC, a voltage rating of 500 volts and a minimum leak rate of 1x 10-9 std. cc
He/sec.
